Heavy, reinforced castings, designed to make machine rigid and eliminate vibration. Table is a compound Rack and Pinion table, 6 inches x 36 inches with a 4 inch back fence.

This enables the operator to make a series of mortises in alignment, without unclamping stock. The stroke of the bit is operated by the foot lever. Maximum stroke is 4 inches, which is also the deepest mortise. Vertical adjustment: 22 inches. Lateral travel of table: 4 inches. Longitudinal travel of table: 12 inches. Maximum distance between chisel and table top: 22 inches. Maximum distance, center of chisel to back stop: 4 inches. Maximum width of stock acceptable: 14 inches. Adjustment of depth stop: 4 inches and depth of bore: 4 inches. Included with purchase of unit: Original 'Operating Instructions and Parts Lists' and an extensive supply of chisels, ranging from 5/16 inch to 1/2 inch; some new, some used but sharpened.
